Submariner Tour*

Enter the heart of the submariner's world.  Be prepared to be boggled! There are over a half a million parts on the boat. From the towering space of the forward torpedo compartment to what is euphemistically known as the ducks ass end of the boat,  secrets of our cold war warrior will be revealed - including the stinky ones.  There is a reason why at least one wife made her husband ride home in the trunk when he arrived home from a mission.

Ojibwa was a spy; reputed to be the best  in her class; the allied submarine most detested by the US Navy who were never able to find her in war games unless she purposely made a noise.

Adults:   $24.75
Seniors: $19.80
Children : $14.75  (8 years old to end of High School)
Prices include taxes

AT THIS TIME CHILDREN UNDER EIGHT ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE SUBMARINE

Pre-Booking is Highly Recommended

Due to the high demand for tours, we strongly recommend pre-booking  to avoid disappointment. In 2021, all but 8 of the available places during the summer season were sold. Pre-booking holds your space; payment is made upon arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour to allow time for payment check-in.  If you arrive after the starting time for your tour, it is possible that your space will have been re-allocated. We will do our best to slot you into another tour if places are available.

...with the "Greater Depths" Tour*

This unique three-hour tour  is for the person who wants to see more, ask more, and do more than they can on the regular Submariner's Tour.

It has not been possible to run this tour in Covid times.  It may be possible to run this tour  some time in 2022.   It will be worth the wait - it's awesome!

Every tour will be led by a team of qualified submariners who are there to guide you through the submarine, answer your questions, and explain how things work. A light meal will be served in the Chiefs and Petty Officers' Mess.
Each participant will receive a special certificate and souvenir. Tours are currently on hold but they usually run from 6 pm to 9 pm on the chosen date.
Note: As we come out of COVID times,  it will take a little time to get staffing sorted out again at the Elgin Military Museum. So, it is not possible to closely monitor either the telephone or emails. We apologize for the inconvenience
