GROUP PROGRAMS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS

We Put the SUB in SUBject  - any SUBject

It is time to put a SUB in SUBject! So, come on! SUBmerge yourself in everything from Biology to Zoology. You think zoology is stretching it a bit? Well - a sonarman submariner does have to be able to tell the difference between a whale fart and something more sinister; and, just how far does that sound travel anyway?

SUBs can be addictive - here is one more word. There is no SUBstitute for the impact that a visit to HMCS OJIBWA will have on students of any age no matter what their interests. OJIBWA has an uncanny way of touching everyone who comes aboard or walks around the compound.

Or, take our regular tours

Our regular Submariners and X-Ray (exterior) tours of HMCS OJIBWA are also available at special rates for cadet corps and youth groups. Contact us and we’ll be happy to help you arrange the best tour for your group. Find information on our regular tours here.

Adult to youth ratio

If your students are of primary or middle school age, chaperones will be necessary. At HMCS OJIBWA, children between ages 8 and 12 require at least 2 chaperones per every 8 youth. Guests age 12 only require 1 adult per 9 youth, and if your organization requires a higher adult/student ratio, please ensure you meet those requirements, as well. Children under eight are not permitted on Ojibwa.

Hours

Not applicable for the 2021 Season.

Weather reminder

HMCS OJIBWA is heated in the winter, but just enough to take the edge off, and some of our programs have large outdoor components. Teachers are encouraged to ensure members wear warm clothing during the colder months. We want everyone to be warm, dry and comfortable during their visit. Note that those not dressed properly will not be permitted to take part in activities they are not prepared for.
