Because it's Winter
There  is a distinct chill in the air as winter begins to nose its way to frost then snow. HMCS Ojibwa does not go into hibernation but she does cut back the days she opens her doors to visitors. 

There is an up side and other considerations. The boat will be chilly - winter ware is a must - especially for your hands and feet as only some areas of the interior are heated.

However, the museum area in the seacans along side will be warm and toasty.

Off Season Hours 
Open at 11.00 - 4:00 with the last tour starting at 3:20 pm. Tours  are approx. 1 hr. 15 minutes.

Children must be 8 yrs old and up.
Pets are not permitted on the submarine.

Pre-Booking Highly Recommended

We highly recommended that you pre-book to avoid disappointment; payment is made upon arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour to check in and make your payment.  It is possible that your tour will have been re-allocated should you arrive after your tour starts. We will do our best to fit you in as soon as possible unless we are fully booked.

HMCS OJIBWA sits in the valley below the main street of Port Burwell (Robinson St.).  As you drive  south on Robinson, look right and you will see her stark black fin peeking out between the stores and restaurants.
Don't get carried away, you need to turn right at Pitt St. just before the lighthouse.

The Elgin Military Museum is easily accessed from Sunset Drive (old Hwy 4). The famous Jumbo the Elephant statue is a two minute stroll east of the museum and the only Elevated Park in Canada is located directly behind the museum.
